Overview

The nvram command is used to print and modify data stored in the non-volatile RAM (NVRAM) on powerpc systems. NVRAM on powerpc systems is split into several partitions, each with their own format.

The print options allow you to view the available partitions in NVRAM and print their contents.

The update options allow you to update certain partitions of NVRAM, namely those containing name=value pairs. On many systems, the following NVRAM partitions contain data formatted as name=value pairs: common, of-config, and ibm, setupcfg.
